    Hi, I'm Cheryl

    FOUNDER & LEAD CAKE ARTIST

    Baking has always been one of the great loves of my life, I just didn’t know it yet. I had baking tucked away in the friend basket until Christmas of 2019 when I realized we were soul mates. With the birth of my second daughter in May of 2019, my eldest decided we would host dinner ourselves for family and friends.

    She wanted to cook all the food by herself, so I decided to contribute fresh baked goods to the menu. Baking gave me such a sense of zen and calm even when the kitchen became chaotic with holiday preparations. I made a red velvet sour cream marble pound cake, ginger cupcakes, Hawaiian bread rolls, and a cheesecake. When the accolades of appreciation and praise came in for the treats I made I knew I was in love.

    Some time after dinner my sister reminded me how I used to bake things from the box when we were kids and that I briefly worked the dessert counter at Shoney’s (both forgotten memories).

    Fast forward to March 2020; the pandemic was in full force leaving us in a state of shock and shutdown. I continued to bake occasionally and shared my successes and failures on social media. Before long Mother’s Day was upon us and I had friends requesting cakes for their moms. After the 7th cake was made I decided to take this friend out of the basket for good and Baked by Ross was born.

    Treat Lovers, Meet Nahla

    FLAVOR SLAYER & LEAD BAKER

    Allow me to introduce the newest member of the Baked by Ross team, my eldest daughter Nahla.

    Nahla has always had discerning taste especially when it comes to pairing flavors, recipe testing and execution. She can taste something and tell you most of its ingredients. She is the brilliant mind behind my salted caramel sauce, fresh strawberry sauce and the mini cheesecakes you all know and love.

    Nahla has taken a great interest in recipe creation, flavor elevation and I am honored to be working along side her.
